PITCH-YOUR-BUSINESS COOKIE POLICY

Information about our use of cookies

Our website accessible through www.pitch-your-business.com or www.pitch-your-business.co.uk (our site) uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our site. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our site and also allows us to improve our site. By continuing to use our site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer or device, if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.

We may use the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our site or make use of e-billing services.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our site. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences.
  • Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our site, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our site and the advertising displayed on it (if any) more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies.

You can block the download of cookies or remove/disable them (including the cookies we use) by altering the privacy settings on your web browser. Guidance on how to do this can be found at www.cookiepedia.co.uk. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies), you may not be able to access or use all or parts of our site.

If you have any queries regarding this cookie policy, please email us at info@pitch-your-business.com or info@pitch-your-business.co.uk.

Our site uses WordPress to organise, store and display content. WordPress creates cookies which enable it to display the correct content in the correct format, and to note whether you’re logged in.

The site also uses PaidMembershipsPro to handle payment.  PaidMembershipsPro creates cookies to make sure users who have paid for content are able to view the lessons.

The videos used in the course are hosted by Vimeo and YouTube, which may store cookies on your computer in conjuction with showing you the videos.  For example, this could prevent you having to start at the beginning of each video each time you visit.

WordFence is a security progam used by this site, which prevents problems like hacking.  It uses cookies to confirm that users are genuine site visitors and not hackers or automated malicious attacks.

CookieLawInfo is used to inform users that cookies will be used.  It stores a cookie when it has informed you, so that it doesn’t repeatedly show the information you each time you visit.

Please note that some of the above third-parties do not give exact information about their cookies, but the information given here is correct to the best of our knowledge.
